Thank you for your bravery and transparency of sharing your hair journey. I started having traction alopecia in my 20s from braids, tight hairstyles and chemical processes. Over the years it has gotten worst. Now in my 40s, I’m also losing hair from hormonal changes and health issues. It is one of my insecurities and I’ve tried some products, wear wigs and hide my hair majority of the year. I definitely want to try a style like this since it’s been years since I worn a ponytail .

I have several women in my family who are not black, and a few of them are dealing with the issue of thinning hair and receding edges. One of these women happens to be my cousin's wife, who is of Indian descent. She is currently experiencing significant thinning in the crown area of her hair. It's crucial to recognize that this problem is not limited to black women. You mentioned the discrimination and disrespect that black women often face, and how you personally encountered a lot of negativity from black men on TikTok when you shared a video concealing your edges. From my own observations, I've noticed that many black men tend to be highly critical and disrespectful towards black women, but they don't hold the same attitudes towards women of other ethnicities. Thank you for not deleting your TikTok video based on the negative comments from these men.

Just subbed because this relates to me my edges are very thin and am currently using hair oils to try to grow them in I think I lost mine due to stress from a toxic relationship thankfully I'm no longer in that relationship😊 and also gluing tracks a lot back in the day
